Situated in the historic centre between the Clarisse nunnery and S. Francis Convent, in a restful aristocratic area so much as to be chosen, the only hotel in the area, by the French guide-book "Relais du Silence" as an oasis of peace and by the Italian "Charme e Relax" as Ravello's pearl, Villa Maria is the perfect solution if you're looking for a weekend on the Amalfi Coast to discover great wines of this unique region.

On day 1, at your arrival you will check in at Villa Maria and you can relax and have dinner on own in this amazing place.

On day 2 you will have a private transfer from the hotel to Tramonti for the visit and wine tasting experience of Tenuta San Francesco.  In 2004, in order to rivive an ancient viticultural tradition, was born S. Francesco farm in Tramonti, the green heart of the Amalfi Coast. The farm extends over about eight and a half hectares and produces wines from the grapes of three local historical families: the Bove, the D'Avino, the Giordano.  

Four hectares are covered with centennial vineyards made up of tintore, aglianico epiedirosso for the production of the Red Tramonti Riserva 4 Spine and tintore prefillossera E 'ISS. Two hectares and half are cultivated with falanghina,biancolella , ginestraand pepella for the production of the White Tramonti Wine and Per Eva. The half a hectare left is actually utilized for a genetic selection of aglianico and piedirosso.

All the vineyards are characterized by high density plant and situated on steep -sloped terraced lands between 300 and 500 metres above sea -level. The output is calculated around 70 / 90 quintals for hectare. One of the symbols of the farm is a butterfly, which underlines the great attention paid to the preservation and the protection of the environment, in accordance with the Regional Plans for the reduction of the use of phytochemistry.

Here, at your arrival, you will discover an unexpected Amalfitan coast: unpollutted nature, centuriesold vineyards, churches and lovely villages where time has stopped. In an 18th century farm, located in the regional park of the "Monti Lattari", you will taste our own cheese and salami together with our appellatio contollèe wines. You will enjoy an unforgettable day in rediscovering the tastes and flavours of a rural world.

Tasting includes 1 white wine Riserva, 2 red wines Riserva and 1 classic method accompanied by local delicacies.

You will then be brought back to the hotel for day on own.

On day 3 you will have a splendid private cooking class experience.. Our well-appreciated cooking school "Nonna Orsola" is taught by Villa Maria chef and by a famous historical author of many books on Mediterranean Cuisine. The lessons start with a brief introduction on the basic techniques and on the history of the products used in the recipes. Most of the products utilized are harvested directly by the students at Villa Maria's biological garden. This is going to be a very great experience! Rest of the day on own
