Here is what you will live

Let you be guided by our expert enologist Cristian, also the owner of the winery, who will let you explore the rows of our organic vineyards, crossed by the historical Via di San Colombano: discover the winemaking tradition of Oltrepò Pavese, the history of our family business and the techniques we use to preserve the local biodiversity. In the second part of the experience you will visit the winemaking cellar and the ageing cellar to explore the world of our wine. At the end of the guided tour our expert Stefano will suggest you 4 of our wines, showing you the basic aspects of wine tasting: from the choice of the glass to the recognition of aromas to the choice of the correct matching with food.

Picnic in the vineyard

8/1/20
We chose the "Picnic in libertà" experience and it was wonderful. The wine trekking part is not at all difficult. There is a small uphill section at the start but nothing impossible. The Calatroni route (provided by the map they give you) is a circuit and takes about an hour. If it's very hot, I'd suggest walking by about 10/11am to then return for the picnic hamper. In cooler weather, you could easily take the hamper with you and picnic in amongst the vineyards you pass. Part of the route is on the Saint Colombanus Way - the 7th C Irish abbott Colombanus founded a church in Bobbio, and pilgrims would travel along the very route you are taking! The picnic itself was delicious - fresh, seasonal food - and the wine was superb (we had the Calatroni Riesling). Kudos to the vineyard for the biodegradable or reusable containers. This is sustainable tourism at its best - highly recommended!
Try the Calatroni Riesling.
