About Winery and Wines

An old Wine Company located on the border between Umbria and Tuscany, in the Trasimeno Lake area. The cellar has been open since the beginning of the 20th century and now owns 12 hectares of vineyards, producing high quality wines, all of which are granted with DOC and IGP labels. Thanks to the attention which every year are spent in the care and protection of vineyard, (low fertilisation, defoliation and careful selection of the grapes), the grapes arrive in the winery healthy and ripe. Today Mr. Roberto Berioli, with his wife Cristina carry on this activity by respecting nature and tradition.

We have a selection of Sangiovese, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon grapes for our red wines and Grechetto, Chardonnay and Trebbiano grapes for our white wines. - SPIRIDIONE Merlot 100%, agening in barriques (24 months): Ruby red colour, with light violet reflections. Deep and complex, quite persistent finish. - VERCANTO, Grechetto 100%: Aging and malolactic fermentation in barriques and new tonneaux. Straw yellow with greenish reflections. Intense floral aroma. Great balance between acidity and sweetness. Velvety, elegant, with notes of tropical fruit and vanilla. - TOPPOROSSO: Sangiovese/Merlot/Cabernet Sauvignon. Agenig inside steel tanks of 15 Hl, between 5 to 10 months. A wine that tells the character of the Umbria region: a green ground, rich in flavors and history. Born in the hillside vineyards in the best areas of Lake Trasimeno, where each wine is an expression of deep respect for nature and the continuous contact between man and his land. Brilliant ruby red color with bright violet reflections. fresh scent, with delicate notes of flowers and red fruit. Pleasantly spicy. Elegant and pleasantly tannic. - TOPPOBIANCO: Grechetto/Chardonnay/Trebbiano. Agenig inside steel tanks of 15 Hl, between 4 to 5 months. Straw yellow with slight greenish tones. Dry, delicate and quite intense nose with notes of fruity sensations and nuances of flow. - SPERELLO: Vin Santo of the Berioli winery. . The varieties of grapes used are Trebbiano and Malvasia.
