About Winery and Wines

The Colle Uncinano winery was born in May 2005 from the desire of Campanella Claudio and hers wife Lorella to give life to a dream they had in mind for a long time. That dream in drawer to make your own wine, where passion and experience, imagination and hard work take shape in a simple bottle. It took at least two years, before bottling their wine but in the July 2007 they managed to have the first bottles of Soviano Regale and Cruor Nobile with vintage 2005. Such fine wines could not sell them immediately but needed refinement in for this reason, after finishing their Il Molino Antico farmhouse, they decided to use part of it the aging of the bottles, ideal with its thick walls dating back to 1600 to keep a constant temperature the freshly made wines. Today with the help of his sons Francesco and Antonella, the winery has a production of around 65,000 thousand bottles a year and their wines have been awarded several prizes.

High quality is a walking that has its beginning in a fertile vineyard, healthy and rich in essential ingredients, necessary to obtaining a unique wine. The choice of the right position, on the ridge of a hill and on the slopes of the Martani Mountains, is the result of a careful study and peasant tradition transmitted over time. This is the ideal condition for having the desired microclimate, which lends itself entirely to the needs of the plant, and which confers unique characteristics on the cluster and rich in sugars and polyphenols. For this reason, a fine wine is the fruit of a vineyard in its ideal habitat and cared for every moment of its life. The various types of vines, such as Trebbiano Spoletino, Grechetto, Sauvignon, Sagrantino, Sangiovese and Merlot that compose our vineyard, make it possible to obtain wines with a high predisposition of aging, both in steel and wood, full-bodied and fruity at the same time.
