About Winery and Wines

The De Stefani family originates in Refrontolo, a UNESCO world heritage, a little hilly village in Veneto Italy, as results in official documents of 1624. Today Alessandro De Stefani, fourth generation, produces wines under a very natural philosophy, from old and with very high density vineyards. Turning native varieties into better account, he developed a world distribution network, with an annual production limited to 400.000 bottles from 150 acres of vineyard and with wines recommended in the most important Guides.

Typical wines of the Piave area obtained from grapes MERLOT, RABOSO, CABERNET SAUVIGNON, REFOSCO, TOCAI, PINOT GRIGIO, CHARDONNAY, SAUVIGNON and wines of the Colli di Conegliano Valdobbiadene area obtained from grapes PROSECCO, MARZEMINO, SPUMANTE TALENTO METODO CLASSICO. De Stefani philosophy follows organic and biodynamic principles. Pesticides, herbicides, chemical fertilisers and insecticides are not used. The winery prepares its own natural and organic fertilizer that feeds the vines and fosters the growth of soil organisms, while promoting a healthy development of the roots.
