Absolutely Amazing

Had a great time, and was one of the more memorable, and enjoyable parts of my vacation. The winery wasn't over crowded, the staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. The vineyard itself is gorgeous, with beautiful views of the surrounding area. The chianti was great of course... I was worried about getting back to Florence at first, but the staff ordered us a taxi back. I will be back some day, and I can't wait.

Excellent wine tasting experience

We arrived a little late and we missed the tour of the grounds, but we easily joined the small group in the underground wine and olive oil caves. Giovanni was an excellent host
He was friendly and informative. We enjoyed several wines, a small cheese & meat board as well as their delicious olive oil with fresh bread for dipping. Definitely worth visiting.

Una piacevole fuga nel chianti

La villa si presenta molto affascinante e piena di storia, immersa nel verde e nell arte. La persona che ci ha guidati, ossia Giovanni, si presenta molto esperto, attento al cliente e appassionato. Vino molto buono, soprattutto la linea Riserva, aperitivo sufficiente. Unica pecca ( motivo per cui non ho messo 5 bicchieri) è il prezzo un pochino elevato. Ma per il resto hanno una fascia di clientela molto alta. Sicuramente la consiglio come esperienza

La villa è bellissima (immagino nella stagione estiva con tutte le piante fiorite sia una favola) ed il ragazzo che ha fatto da guida è molto preparato e gentile. La degustazione molto piacevole e ben spiegata!

About Winery and Wines

Since 1836 the Malenchini family has called the beautiful Villa Medicea di Lilliano "home". About a hundred years have passed since the Malenchinis began their history as wine producers in this prosperous estate. The Villa in perfect Medici style, finely restored, still hosts the members of the family, who, every day of the year, welcome visitors from all over the world, who go to Tuscany to enjoy its wonders. In the heart of the Chianti Colli Fiorentini area, very close to Florence, the Malenchini Wine Estate extends around the Villa Medicea di Lilliano, a property of the Medici family dating back from the Late Renaissance.

In this place full of history are its ancient cellars and the traditional "orciaia" from 1830. Today is the eighth generation and Diletta Malenchini has been running the company for more than twenty years, through her passion for wine and respect for the territory. Come and visit us: we will guide you on a journey through history and wine, to discover the Renaissance gardens of the Villa and the historic cellars. Our company offers exclusive experiences to do as a couple, as a family, or with friends, during which you can taste the wines and extra virgin olive oil of our production.

The estate extends around the Villa Medicea di Lilliano on the hills of Florence, with 18 hectares of vineyards and 42 of olive groves entirely conducted in organic farming. For eight generations we have been committed to transmitting our ancient vocation to the territory in wine production, with selections of native vines such as Sangiovese, Canaiolo and Pugnitello. To these are added other international varieties such as Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Our selection of products includes different types of Chianti wines and some IGTs, including a Rosé and a White, as well as our organic extra virgin olive oil.
