Most beautiful wine tasting spot !

3/1/24
We had a lovely experience at Quinta dos Sentidos! We were welcomed by the owner Beat Buchmann who explained to us his passion for wine making but also olive oil and harvesting fruits. He took the time to explain to us how his vineyard started and where each plantation was. The views are absolutely beautiful with a beautiful pond in the centre of the land and a nice flower garden. The wines were each explained very well and were delicious. We each left with olive oil, wine and honey that is also produced by Quinta dos Sentidos! We would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Silves looking for a fun experience.

Fantastic wine and I’ve tasting experiemce

9/1/23
We pre-booked our wine and olive tasting experience at Quinta dos Sentidos and having been met on arrival by our polite, friendly and extremely knowledgeable host, were given a tour of the vineyards and grounds along with the history, ethos of the company and information about the different grapes, olives and flora and fauna. We then moved inside to taste the various wines and olive oils - all were wonderful. We also met the owners and enjoyed talking about their experiences with building and developing the vineyards.
All in all it was a fantastic experience with genuine, friendly and knowledgeable hosts - I would definitely recommend a visit if you are in the area.

A unique experience in the heart of Algarve

8/1/23
We were looking for a unique wine tasting experience for our holiday and we just found it. Quinta Dos Sentidos is a magical place where you can enjoy the view and the sounds of nature. Unique fruit plants, some known for the first time, rows of vines treated with passion that gave rise to a truly interesting wine offer. We finished our tour with a tasting of white and red wines and locally produced oil. A fantastic experience that I recommend to everyone!

About Winery and Wines

Quinta dos Sentidos, a wine and olive oil estate, is situated in the rolling hills of the most southerly province of Portugal, the Algarve, just a 45-minute drive from Faro Airport and 10 km from the ocean. There, orange groves provide an exotic and fragrant backdrop to everyday working life on the farm.

Almost two decades ago we fell in love with the country and with a plot of land in the Algarve of a size and nature that made us stop and wonder how it might change the course of our lives.

Today, Quinta dos Sentidos, is our home. The place where we produce our wines, olive oils, verjus and honey. And we are proud of every batch and vintage. To us, they are proof that if you allow yourself to follow your dreams, amazing things can happen.

As a boutique family-run estate, we offer guided tours and private tastings exclusive to your party and hosted by the owners and/or the resident oenologist. Reconnect with nature during a guided tour of Quinta dos Sentidos vineyards, winery and gardens, and uncover the secrets of wine making as well as olive oil and verjus production. Experience Quinta dos Sentidos wines and other produce at the place of their origin.

Set on gently south- and southwest sloping grounds, the Quinta dos Sentidos vineyards benefit from ample sunshine and a cool oceanic breeze. Those conditions are perfect for our grape varieties: Touriga Nacional, Aragonez, Tinta Caiada and Syrah for the reds, and Arinto and Antão Vaz for the whites.

These grapes allow us to produce both blended and single-variety wines. Strict reduction of the yield, careful hand selection, hand-crafted winemaking and ageing in French and American oak barrels reward us with high-quality gastronomic wines, red, white, rosé and a red late harvest.

Our different varieties of olives allow us to produce both single-variety and blended extra virgin olive oils and six bee populations feeding on the surrounding citrus groves, flowering trees and shrubs provide us with pure, natural honey.
