Good wine and good food, but they could use some more vegetarian options on the menu.

During the summer of 2016, I set out to capture the morning fog that lines the Cuyahoga Valley, or as the locals call it, the Emerald Necklace. From the ground it's a beautiful dark green gem of trails, canals and forest, but from above the white fog clearly boasts the curves and bends that lend the name. Finally in mid August, after several attempts, I was able to capture this scene from just above Sarah's Vineyard in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio while looking north. The best photo can't do justice to being there, but If you zoom to the top center frame you'll see the downtown Cleveland skyline and lake Erie over 30 miles beyond.

About Winery and Wines

After four years of hard work and dedicated service from the staff and volunteers, Mike and Margaret’s vision came to life when the doors of the winery opened in May of 2007. The rustic, relaxed atmosphere is unlike any other in the Akron and surrounding areas. The winery itself is constructed from a pre-civil war hand hewn timber frame, and finished with cherry, aspen, poplar, walnut, and maple. The support beams of the barn were originally located near Cloverleaf High School off State Route 224 in Medina County, Ohio. The barn was disassembled and moved to the Cuyahoga Valley National Park.
