About Winery and Wines

Tenute Fasoli is the result of a family tradition dating back to the 18th century, when Lorena's great-grandfather moved from Mantua to the splendid Valpolicella valley to work as a sharecropper for landowners who cultivated vines. During the world wars, wine was stored in the now defunct old cellar in large glass barrels, which were then walled up to prevent the army from destroying them. After the Second World War, the grandfather decided to abandon the wine-making business and devote himself solely to tending the land, as did his daughter Celestina. This passion was passed on to his daughter Lorena, who decided to go back to the old days. So she started to build a new cellar where she could relive the emotions and traditions of the family's past. She began winemaking, kept the old vineyard alive with vines over 40 years old, used the existing buds, preserved the environment and converted the company to organic farming. This is where Tenute Fasoli's wines come from, with a traditional character to make you taste the typical flavours of Valpolicella.
