About Winery and Wines
Textura Wines is a family project started in 2018 in Dão on the slopes of Serra da Estrela and involving organic viticulture, terroir wine production and wine tourism. After sourcing existing vineyards, in a region of small growers, we have 22 ha of vineyards in 7 different plots in Vila Nova de Tazem and Penalva do Castelo. Our low intervention winemaking, reflects the soil and location of each of our vineyards, leading at wines with character, elegant and distinct. Respect for the place and its biodiversity (soil, flora and fauna, people, and community), the preservation of resources (natural and cultural) and local development are the basis of our fundamental principles.
All of our wines reflect a blend of traditional Dão grape varieties and a unique expression of different terroirs. A low intervention winemaking, led by the winemaker Luís Seabra, reflects the soil and the place of each of our vineyards and that seeks wines with character, elegant and distinct.
