La Vecchia Dispensa, a producer of traditional balsamic vinegar located in the heart of the medieval village of Castelvetro di Modena, is ready to welcome you for this experience.
The Balsamico & Chocolate experience at La Vecchia Dispensa starts inside the medieval Prison Tower that dates back to the XVI century and that still hosts nowadays the most antique barrels of La Vecchia Dispensa's production (started at the beginning of ‘900). Here you'll have the unique chance to learn the complex production process of balsamic vinegar directly on the actual production site!
The tour continues inside the shop with a guided tasting of 3 aged kinds of vinegar of the Acetaia. This tasting is held by a professional taster in the traditional way – on a ceramic spoon.
The most interesting part is still to come! Finally, you get a chance to try different qualities of Chocolate, among those winners of prestigious prizes at the Chocolate Award Competition, combined with the best balsamic vinegar. A real sensory experience!
