Castle tour with Light Lunch & Wine tasting at Castello di Meleto in Chianti
Here is what's in store for you
Your experience at Castello di Meleto begins with a guided tour led by an expert sommelier. You will walk through the estate's vineyards and Aromatic Garden, stopping at the Big Bench, a large installation with a scenic view of the surrounding landscape.
The visit continues inside the castle, where you'll explore the noble rooms, the 18th-century theatre, the historic cellars, and the Vinsantaia, the room where Vin Santo is aged.
After the tour, you will take a seat in the wine shop's tasting area. Here, you will taste three of the estate's red wines: a Chianti Classico, a Chianti Classico Riserva, and a Gran Selezione. The tasting is paired with a light lunch featuring a seasonal Tuscan first course, such as Pappa al Pomodoro, Panzanella, or a homemade pasta, and a board of local Senese cold cuts like capocollo, prosciutto crudo, and salame, served with bruschetta and Castello di Meleto's own olive oil.
You can also choose to add a guided tasting of Vin Santo paired with local pecorino cheese. Children are welcome and will be offered fruit juice; they can share the food served at the table.

A must-try!!!
Elegance and Quality
The tour was super interesting for its entire duration, very detailed and made pleasant despite the heat.
The tasting was excellent, well explained and balanced between the wine and the proposed samples.
Enrico was very available to answer any questions about the wine production.
The soft lunch was noteworthy, with fresh and local dishes.
We were really happy... we can't wait to come back!
It would be even more interesting if the 3 wines offered were from vintages more distant from each other. It would also be interesting to have a white wine alternative.
