Discover the secrets of Tuscan cooking with this cooking class, wine tasting & lunch at Borgo Machiavelli.
Our Cooking Class experience begins with a welcome glass of wine and a presentation and explanation of the program. Next, all the ingredients necessary for the preparation of delicious Tuscan dishes will be introduced. Together with our expert chef, you will learn how to prepare Tuscan delicacies like fresh pasta, Ribollita soup, Panzanella, Pappa al Pomodoro, and Cantucci cookies.
After the cooking class, you'll enjoy a guided tour of the original house museum of Niccolò Machiavelli, with the special opening of his private study where he wrote the famous "The Prince".You will also visit the Italian Garden with a view of Florence Cathedral and the estate's historic cellars from the 13th century and the secret underground passage connecting the cellar to the building of the oldest Italian Restaurant named "Albergaccio since 1450".
At the end of the cooking class, you'll savor a tasting of your creations!
Appetizers: Bruschetta Lardo di and black cabbage. Fried squash blossoms.
Soup tasting: Ribollita. Pappa al pomodoro. Panzanella.
Fresh pasta: Tagliatelle alla chiantigiana. Tortelli mugellani with truffles.
Royal salad: Salad with seasonal vegetables.
Dessert: Cantucci and Vin santo.
Lunch will be accompanied by 3 wines of our production: "Libero" white wine, "Tenuta Machiavelli" Chianti Classico DOCG, and "Libero" Super Tuscan IGT.
The cooking class will end with the delivery of a certificate of participation and a small recipe book to bring home with you.
