Ci vorrebbero più bicchieri per esprimere questa visita fantastica !
Vini fantastici, posto magnifico, persone vere. Meriterebbero 10 bicchieri, perchè 5 sono troppo pochi.

Über das Weingut und die Weine
La Lastra is not just the name of the farm, but it is a project of rural life that we have started in the early Eighties. We were on our twenties and we had just obtained our high school diploma in Agricolture at Istituto Agrario di San Michele all’Adige (Tn - Fondazione Edmund Mach). We then moved to San Gimignano to complete our studies in wine growing and oenology. Since the very beginning this hilly countryside rich in history, beauty, and authenticity had enchanted us to the point of starting a bold project of life: a project of sustainable vine growing. After ten years of studies and work as vine and wine experts in the countryside of the Sienese area, in 1994 my husband Renato Spanu, my brother Christian Betti, and I, together with the friends of all our lives Enrico Paternoster and Valerio Zorzi founded La Lastra, with the prime goal of producing high-quality, sustainable wines, as a pure expression of the territory were they are produced.
Azienda Agricola La Lastra consists of 2 different working farms: 7 hectares of vineyards in the area of San Gimignano and 23 hectares not far from the historical centre of Siena (7 of which cultivated with vineyards, and 7 with olive trees). Guided by the great passion that inspires those who devote their lives to agriculture as a free personal choice, we cultivate our vineyards and olive trees following organic methods. The vinification of all our red grapes takes place in our beautiful ancient wine cellar in Marciano, while in San Gimignano we turn into wine our Vernaccia di San Gimignano grapes according to the Italian wine law.
