Über das Weingut und die Weine
The wine farm "Cascina Barisél" was bought by my father Enrico in 1965. We started to produce wine bottles in 1985, after a carefully restore of the vineyards and winery cells.Thanks to the excellent sun exposure of our hilly vineyards, the calcareous composition of the soil, a natural cultivation processing including close pruning, thinning of clusters fruit and a careful selection of the best grapes, we obtained soon high quality wines.
Our work is carried on with passion in respect of traditions; as a result our wines are strictly linked to origin territories and are typical and unique. Our best traditional wine is the Canelli DOCG, that is produced in the heart of its origin area.
We care for our wines to be good and right: we produce only local wines, with grapes from our vineyard, all in the range of 5 km from Cascina Barisel. The attention we use in the production is reflected in the small volumes and in the restricted range of variaties. Canelli DOCG is our top line, followed by the Nizza DOCG "La Cappelletta" and Nizza DOCG Riserva "Vigna dei Pilati". Other labels from Barbera grapes are the Barbera superiore "Listoria" and the only-steel Barbera Barisel. in the end, we also have a traditional Dolcetto. On the side of white wines, we produce a young and fresh Chardonnay, and a balanced ed composed Spumante Metodo Classico "Enrico Penna" brut.
