MARSAGLIA
Über das Weingut und die Weine
In Castellinaldo, a village in the heart of the Roero hills, Marina and Emilio Marsaglia, helped by their children
Enrico and Monica, produce high-quality wines with the same passion and commitment that inspired their
great grandfather Secondo, the founder of the firm. Emilio and Marina’s philosophy is that the quality of the
wine is made in vineyards. In fact the technical assistance provided by experts covers every stage of cultivation,
from winter to summer pruning, and treatments follow the integrated and guided methods. Grape production
is contro/led by thinning the bunches in case of excess of buds, grapes are harvested when ripe and only
perfectly healthy grapes are used to make the wines. The cellars, equipped with all the modern devices, are still
faithful to the most traditional wine-producing process. Bottling is made only when the wines are mature (from
a minimum of 6 months for all the white wines to over 24 months for red wines, aged in oak barrels).
We produce quality wines from our vineyards from native grapes.
The famous white wine of Roero Our fresh and fruity Roero Arneis docg, the Barbera d'Alba from which we obtain our Barbera d'Alba Castellinaldo aged in oak barrels and from the Nebbiolo grape two great classics of the territory: the traditional Nebbiolo d'Alba and the Roero docg also aged in oak barrels.
