Barry and Ellen Moss love great wine. In Europe, they learned everything winemaking the Old World had to offer: how to cultivate vines, make fine wine, and match the right vines to the right soil. Years later - as Virginia became ranked one of the top up-and-coming wine regions in the world - Barry and Ellen decided to start a vineyard themselves. Since its first vintage in 2010, Moss Vineyards pursues the creation of wine as both an art and a passion. Our Mission To craft great wine in the heart of Thomas Jefferson's Virginia through biodynamic wine-grape growing and impeccable terroir. We strive to make more than wine. From an intimate setting at the doorstep of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Moss Vineyards creates memorable experiences for the senses.
