This place is good and worth a stop, but nothing stood out as exceptional. The wines were nice, however no stand-outs in my opinion. The tastings were $5 which is very standard for the area. The atmosphere of the farm was quite charming, however it wasn't a place to linger. Their dog was very friendly!

April 30, 2015:
Two nights ago, I opened a bottle of Stonecroft Hawkes Bay 2002 Gewurztraminer. I had purchased it in NZ in 2003, I think and took it home to South Australia, where we cellared it carefully. Over the years, many other wines got pushed in front of it, until we had a clear out last week.
It was 13 years old, so I was a bit concerned about the quality. But...
It was OUTSTANDING - an extraordinarily complex, aged white wine that was absolutely delightful. A credit to the winemaker.
