Über das Weingut und die Weine
Tenuta di Saragano is located in a small village a few kilometres from Gualdo Cattaneo, at the westernmost end of the Montefalco wine district. The Estate has origins that date back to the 14th century and sums up historical and rural Umbria: 220 uncontaminated hectares in which the geometry of the twelve hectares of vineyards is the only man-made feature in the ancient landscape where nature reigns free and unchallenged. Conservation of ancient vines, low yields per hectare and meticulous care in the cellar are the company's guidelines for high product excellence.
Many environmental factors influence the quality and yield of the 12 hectares of vineyards. Among them, the position of the vineyards, which has remained unchanged since the setting more than a century ago, has always demonstrated an extraordinary yield and quality of fruit. Exposure, winds and the altitude of the hillside have today allowed the Tenuta's wines to achieve an optimal and high quality product production and important awards, excellent reviews and customer satisfaction.
