Tenuta Tre Gemme is one of the largest private wineries in Abruzzo, located between 350 and 450 meters above sea level in the Terra dei Vestini, one of the most prestigious sub-areas of the Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DOC.
The company was founded in the 60s by Rocco Perrucci, who consolidated the family lands, diversified the vineyards and built the current cellar. The main activity was to sell excellent quality wine ready to bottled.
In 2020 Carla and Anna, Rocco's daughters, restructured the company and created Tenuta Tre Gemme brand, starting to sell the best part of the production under the new brand.
The winery was renovated and new assets were created in order to enhance the customer experience: the tasting room "Sala delle Vigne", the Pool Area and the Hospitality services.
The estate extends over 70 hectares of owned vineyards, between the two municipalities of Catignano and Civitaquana, in the province of Pescara in the Terra dei Vestini area. It is divided into two monoblocks of 45 hectares one and 25 the other, with vineyards of varying ages. The older ones are grown using the Abruzzo pergola and are over 40 years old.
Our vineyard, located halfway between the Adriatic coast and Mount Gran Sasso, is entirely certified organic. A strong temperature range between day and night and a constantly ventilated climate make it the perfect place to grow the vineyard.
The cultivated varieties are mainly those of the native Abruzzo ones: Montepulciano, Pecorino, Passerina but also some international varieties: Pinot Grigio, Pinot Bianco and a small Riesling vineyard planted under the Gran Sasso over 35 years ago.
All our wines are certified organic.
We also porduce organic olive oil.
