My mom, boyfriend, and I visited on Sunday and the experience was very pleasant. Though the tasting room is nothing special, the outdoor space and views from the tasting room windows are a huge amenity.

We began with a tasting ($8) which came with three white samples and three red samples, plus three food pairings. The food pairings- locally sourced cheeses and a Virginia Chutney Company spread- were a particularly nice touch! The young lady pouring (Paige) was knowledgeable, friendly, professional, and fun. Her attitude and demeanor were copacetic with the rest of the staff.

After the tasting, we enjoyed live music on the patio overlooking the vineyard and the Blue Ridge Mountains. A signboard in the tasting room indicated that there is frequently live music and events at the winery.

Fox Meadow is our hands down favorite winery in Virginia. Dan and Cheryl have done an amazing job of creating superb wines. I discovered this mountain top gem over 7 years ago and have been going there every time I could get home. Now that we are living locally again, my wife make a trip up Freezeland road at least once a month. The mountain views from their deck coupled with an approachable and down to earth staff and of course a great glass of wine makes this a winery a

One of the best places to just sit and enjoy wine, great scenery and friends. The owners and staff are amazing and very knowledgable. Can't recommend Fox Meadow enough.

Excellent friendly service. Staff willingly offered extra pours from wines not on the tasting menu. Addition of cheeses and jams with pairings made it even better. Outstanding views - especially at sunset!

Sobre la bodega y los vinos

Twelve years ago we visited the area, and fell in love with Northern Virginia. We visited some of the local wineries and realized that great wines can be crafted here! After an exhausting search we found the parcel of land which is now known as Fox Meadow Vineyards. Fox Meadow was once part of Freezeland Orchard, which was almost 100 years old. We could immediately see the potential of this location. It had great possibilities! Once “discovering” the site, we enlisted some of the finest professionals in the region to consult with to develop Fox Meadow Vineyards. We have now been crafting great wines using traditional wine making skills and processes for nearly a decade. Whether your taste is for the more traditional old world style dry wines like our Reserve Cabernet Franc or Le Renard Rouge or if you prefer a light refreshing aromatic fruity white like our Pinot Gris or Blue Mountain Mist, we have something for you.
