Sobre la bodega y los vinos
I’ve founded the winery back in 2015. The vineyards are owned by family since my great great grandapa back in the 19th century. We are located in Alanno, on the hills of Pescara province at 350 m above sea level, precisely half way between mountains and sea (half hour drive). We produce mainly indigenous grapes (montepulciano, trebbiano abruzzese and pecorino), and a small batch of international grapes (chardonnay, cabernet sauvignon and riesling).
My winery is a small family business which produce 40.000 bottles per year, but we’ve got a potential of 100.000-120.000 (like my father and my grandparents, I still sell most of my grapes to other wineries). I work as much as possible in the vineyards, without using any chemicals on the soil, and very few, if not none at all, adjustments in the winery. Our philosophy is “sculptors of wine, partners of Nature”.
The production is divided into two lines:an entry and a premium.
The entry levels are only made with the use of steel vat and only with indigenous grapes in purity (no blends): Pecorino Colline Pescaresi IGT, Trebbiano d'Abruzzo DOC, Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo DOC and Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DOC
Premiums are aged in used French oak barriques (225 l) with international and indigenous grapes in purity: Mirvana Chardonnay Colline Pescaresi IGT (9 months), Bifolco Cabernet Collione Pescaresi IGT (12 months), and Io Selva delle Mura Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DOC Casauria(15 months)
