Excellent wine tasting with below-average outsourced lunch
To start with the good -
After the lunch we went to the winery and had an AMAZING time, it did not disappoint. I wish that we had booked only the wine tasting, I even would have paid the same price to not have the local lunch. The information that our guide Sofia gave us was very in depth and she explained it so well and made us feel very welcome as she explained about the processes, the different grapes and the history of the wineyard and the family. The tasting itself was fantastic and we were given a small charcuterie board which was already much better than the local lunch. We tried 4 wines which were delicious, and we did not feel pressured to buy any wines directly.
It was around a 1 hour drive from where we were staying in Braga and easy to navigate to as well as to park. If the review was only for the winery I would have given it 5 stars.
The less good -
The pre-booking was quite confusing as it was advertised as 3 hours, however the timings of the local lunch were not well factored into this, and in fact our lunch was at 1pm with the tasting from 3pm onwards.
The local lunch was quite disappointing, from arriving at the restaurant we already felt we were an inconvience to the staff at the restaurant, and the food was not to our taste. We wanted to try the more local specialities but were disappointed with both the starter and the main, the octopus was quite mushy as if it had been frozen and quickly defrosted and the dessert as well of chocolate mousse was not good.

Situada en la región demarcada de Vinhos Verdes, en la subregión de Basto, la Quinta de Santa Cristina tiene una historia secular y pertenece a la misma familia desde hace varias generaciones. La producción profesional de vino comenzó en 2004 y actualmente es propiedad del Sr. António Pinto, su esposa, la Sra. Rosa Maria Pinto, y su hija, Mónica Pinto.
Vestida de rojo y amarillo, la bodega es un icono definitorio de Quinta de Santa Cristina. Esta bodega se construyó en 2012 y tiene capacidad para producir 1 millón de litros. Actualmente sólo se producen unos 500.000 litros. Desde las prensas y los depósitos de fermentación hasta la botella, este es el lugar donde tiene lugar todo el proceso de vinificación.
La Quinta de Santa Cristina ofrece varios programas que permiten a los visitantes unirse a los aromas y sabores del Vinho Verde, así como disfrutar de la paz y la calma que ofrece la Región.

La finca de Quinta de Santa Cristina tiene aproximadamente 400 m de altura y está formada por 3 fincas: Quinta de Santa Cristina, Quinta da Capela y Quinta de Salgueiros.
Se producen unas 14 variedades diferentes de uva blanca y tinta, que se extienden por 60 hectáreas de viñedos. Nuestra producción está certificada en Producción Integrada y sigue todas las normas del certificado Global G.A.P.
Quinta de Santa Cristina ofrece una amplia gama de productos, distribuidos por las marcas Séquito, Santa Cristina y Quinta de Santa Cristina, desde el típico vino Vinho Verde hasta productos más exclusivos y diferentes. Tenemos tanto vinos individuales como mezclas y producimos blancos, un tinto, rosados, reservas y espumosos. Alrededor del 70% de la producción total se comercializa en Portugal. La parte restante se vende en otros países, principalmente en Alemania, Brasil, EE.UU., Polonia, Suiza..
