ABOUT US
The history of our wines is strictly interwoved at that of our family; and for tell it we must go back
to the second half of ‘800; time in which our great-grandmother and our great-grandfather, both
farmers, besides tilling the land and the vineyards, they also produced wine.
The cofounders of Olivero’s winery, that is our father Aldo and our mother Rosa Giuseppina, were
born in the thirties and they carried on the activity of their respective parents in Serralunga d’Alba,
Diano d’Alba and Grinzane Cavour.
From one’s earliest childhood, their life revolved entirely around the country: not only wine
production, but they both farmed the land.
In nineteen- seventy Aldo Olivero’s business combined exclusively on wine production: so he
estabilished the Olivero’s winery in Gallo Grinzane; just in the hearth of the Langhe, among his
about eight hectares of vineyards of Serralunga d’ Alba, Diano d’Alba and Grinzane Cavour.
Today, Laura and Raffaella Olivero, Aldo’s daughters, continue with passion and care this precious
family tradition, even through their personal engagement in the vineyards and having preference for
manual works. Just like in the Past.
The result is a limited production of rare wines and the best recompense is represented by their
affectionated customers that always choose Sorellle Olivero’s wines.
Latin peoples maintained that “ in vinum veritas” (“in wine there is the truth”):drinking a glass of
Sorelle Olivero’s wine you can find even more; a long family tradition or, in one word, us.
