Siamo stati in questa cantina dove Marco il padrone di casa ragazzo gentilissimo ci ha accolti con disponibilità e simpatia. Noi eravamo in 9 e siamo stati super contenti. Lo consiglio molto.

À propos du vignoble et des vins

Lonati Winery is a dynamic and passionate winery located in Castiglione Tinella, dedicated to the production of high quality wines that reflect the authenticity of the Langhe terroir, a UNESCO heritage site.
At lonati Winery you will find Marco and Viviana, a young couple with an unbridled desire to elevate the Langhe terroir as much as possible. Their story is curious: Marco comes from the city, he lived in Vigevano near Milan until he graduated in Agricultural Science and Technology, but the city has always made him feel out of place. He has always felt much more in touch with plants rather than concrete, so he decided to move to the family country house in Castiglione Tinella, renovated the estate and his grandparents old vineyards and started producing wines that respect reflect the territory, like his grandparents used to do back in the 1950s.
Working the vineyard, taking care of the wine, praying the sky not to play tricks - that's how he discovered himself and understood why his grandparents were so attached to that place.
Viviana followed him. As graphic designer, she creates the labels, packaging, websites, and they work together on the whole business.
This is the story of a young couple who dedicate their lives to the fruits of the earth.

With about 8 hectares of wine-making property, they currently produce Moscato d'Asti DOCG Tempo and Barbera d'Alba DOC Superiore Luogo in the heroic sorì of Castiglione Tinella, the Langhe DOC Nebbiolo Spazio (vinified with grapes from their land in Treiso in the Meruzzano cru’). These first 3 bottles focus on the concept of time (tempo), space (spazio) and place (luogo). An emotional triad that conveys closeness to the territory and to the winery through a three-dimensional metal application placed in the center of the bottle that recalls the preciousness of the nectar contained inside the bottle, rigorously applied by hand.
They are coming out with two news for 2023: Langhe DOC Freisa Petra and a new concept of traditional Moscato, Piemonte DOC Moscato Secco macerated Sabula, each with a unique aromatic profile.
They come from the earth and express the earth - Petra, unfiltered and not clarified, a variety of grapes that get their best from the soil rich in calcareous marls. Sabula, hand-picked grapes slightly overripe becomes an expression of the stratification of the soil.
First the Padano sea - then the erosion of the lands through the rivers, which leads to the sea under which today's Langhe hills lie, layers and layers of sand, limestone and fine residues from the surrounding Alps. That’s where this unique soil composition comes from, as unique is the Alpine arc from which these lands were formed.
