À propos du vignoble et des vins

Our project began in 2008 when Marco, while studying at the Faculty of Agriculture in Florence, took over the two hectares of vines planted by his father Orazio back in 1973 on the family's historic property. From that grape harvest, we realized that wine in Casentino could be a winning bet.

MAXIMUM CARE FOR A GENEROUS LAND

This also gave rise to the need to take the utmost care of this generous land, going organic at first and then applying biodynamics to our vineyards, as well as using natural wine making methods in our cellar. We had a clear plan: take the best fruit from the healthy soil to the cellar and process it while preserving its original characteristics, so that you can taste a bit of Casentino in every glass of our wine.

The original cellar where we started this project as a hobby would no longer be sufficient. In 2014 Marco was faced with a new adventure: building his own wine cellar! The project was created with inspiration from Steiner architecture. Round shapes and grass roofs are in perfect harmony with the surrounding nature and allow the wines to mature in the best possible way.
The new cellar, opened in 2016, is finally able to welcome groups of wine lovers in a unique environment in Casentino.

Our winery is like a small extended family, where cooperation and passion for the Earth are its fundamental cornerstones and great strength.

Ornina's crew:
Marco Biagioli, the vigneron. His poetic and experimental soul is expressed in unique wines with character, a mirror of each vintage

Greta, sommelier AIS. Sales and hospitality manager. Marco's wife, is the winery's female counterpart that plays a key role in balancing the oenologist's (Marco) flights of fancy

Marco Conti, our resourcerful tractor driver. Nicknamed Macgyver not by chance. His experience and great sympathy make him one of the winery's main figures

Malvasia, Ornina's true welcome menager. She's the first to welcome, wagging her tail, the lovers of good wine who come to visit us in the winery

Deneris. The undisputed queen of the winery, beautiful and wild
