On the weekdays they allow you to bring in outside food and snacks, but on the weekends when they have food trucks it's the best. My favorite is the tapas from El Tenedor but the Pizza is really good as well!
Sometimes there's a wait for the tastings ($6/5 wines and you get to keep the cute stemless wine glass), but usually the staff is very attentive to getting you in. I love their dry selections but they do a lot of wines that I think satisfy both a red/dry drinker (Aphrodite, Chardonel). My favorites though are their Flyboy Red and the Citron (a versatile dessert wine that makes some great mixed drinks - 1 part citron & 1 part honey whiskey and a dash of cinnamon is my favorite).
Weekends they usually have live music which is always a treat! Wine slushies and wine Popsicles in the summer are super fun! And I especially enjoy just walking through the vines with a glass of wine!
Please go check this place out, it will not disappoint!

À propos du vignoble et des vins
Somerset Ridge Vineyard &Winery is a family owned artisanal winery dedicated to producing premium wines from locally grown grapes. Our wines reflect regional character derived from our long, sunny days during the growing season and rocky limestone hills where our vineyards are located. Our tasting room is open Wed-Sunday and is an easy 25 minute drive from the K.C. metro via Hwy 69 or 169 (see map below). See you in the vineyard!
Our hillside vineyard was planted in the Spring of 1998 and now encompasses over 8,000 grape vines. We grow twelve different varieties of grapes. The vines are pruned and the grapes are harvested entirely by hand to improve wine quality. We use sustainable farming methods in the vineyard. We use no pesticides and no synthetic fertilizers. Of our twelve different grape varieties, three are of the vitis vinifera species, one (Cynthiana-Norton) is all-American and the remainder are hybrids. Vitis vinifera are traditional European varities, such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Chardonnay. Hybrids are varieties that have mixed European and American parentage, combining the good winemaking qualities of the European with the hardiness of the American. We are one of the few commercial vineyards in the midwest that grows both vitis vinifera and hybrids
