Here is what you will live

For this tasting, you will be personally welcomed right in the heart of the winery of Baglio di Pianetto and then begin your adventure, discovering their vineyards and their unique, one-of-a-kind wine cellar, which was designed with a focus on sustainability and vertical-process winemaking. Along the way, step by step, the knowledgeable staff of Baglio di Pianetto will reveal all the secrets of fine winemaking.

Every tasting is a journey, and this particular experience will introduce you to an unexpected, surprising Sicily, where the native grape varieties grown by Baglio di Pianetto yield very personal expressions, thanks to the terroir and to the individual microclimates on their estates in Pianetto and in Noto.

You will taste the following 4 wines, all 100% organic: Insolia Sicilia DOC, Nero d’Avola Sicilia DOC, Timeo (Grillo) Sicilia DOC; and Fushà Brut (Insolia) IGT Terre Siciliane.

Excellent experience touring the winery followed by a tasting of an assortment of wines and olive oils! Highly recommend!
Some Bread for oil dipping would be nice!

Felt like a private tour

My family and I visited on the off season around the beginning of June before production ramped up again. Our tour guide was great and educated us on everything that went into making their wine. Because the winery is up in the mountains, it has amazing views.

A mezz'ora da Palermo, immerso tra le affascinanti colline siciliane, si staglia il Baglio di Pianetto.
Accoglienza degna del principe di Salina descritto nel romanzo di Tomasi di Lampedusa: e in effetti, camminando per gli eleganti saloni e rilassandoci nelle splendide stanze ci è sembrato di tornare indietro nel tempo, rivivendo i gattopardeschi fasti di fine '800.

In aggiunta abbiamo visitato la cantina ecosostenibile che accontenterà le esigenze dei più sofisticati wine lovers (Alessandro, il concierge, ci ha coinvolto nelle attività di vendemmia dell'uva!) cosi come la cucina siciliana proposta dal ristorante ci ha deliziato (noi abbiamo provato gli spaghetti alla bottarga e non ce ne siamo pentiti affatto).

Insomma, un weekend indimenticabile!

P.s. portare la crema solare per prendere il sole in piscina e una felpa per la sera, perché l'aria rinfresca parecchio

Trevligt ställe att bo på, lever dock inte upp till sitt rykte om 5 stjärnor. Maten är god men håller inte måttet kvalitetsmässigt med tanke på att anläggningen ska vara lite mer luxiöst. Dock goda viner och ett bra poolområde.
