Embark on an immersive journey into the very soul of Lignanello, a cherished artisanal winery nestled amidst the captivating landscape of Val d'Orcia. This comprehensive experience invites you to delve into the heart of Lignanello's world — a world rich in history, artisanal products, and distinctive local specialties that define this remarkable region.

Your adventure begins with a guided tour that will give you a glimpse into Lignanello's production philosophy. Stroll through the vineyard, where the majestic Sangiovese reigns supreme. As you stroll, you'll follow paths that resonate with generations of history, leading you to the cellar, an exceptional space carved into the millions-of-years-old Pliocene rock. Here, the wines mature in French oak barrels, nourished by the ideal humidity created by the surrounding rock.

The tasting, the highlight of this experience, includes four Lignanello wines:
- SAGGIOLO Toscana IGT, a harmonious macerated white wine with a blend of primary and tertiary aromas;
- PELTRINO Toscana IGT, a fresh, youthful, and vibrant gastronomic rosé;
- BANDOLO Toscana Rosso IGT, a true Sangiovese, the embodiment of simplicity and freshness;
- CONTRASTI Orcia DOC, a robust wine aged in small oak barrels.

This delightful wine journey is rounded off with a tasting of the estate's own extra virgin olive oil, paired with bruschetta and a selection of delicious local products: organic cured meats from local wild pigs and Pecorino di Pienza cheese.

Our host was fantastic. Lovely to learn about her family heritage. Wine tasting was paired beautifully with the cheese & did I mention the wine.. amazing! Had to buy some to take home.

A lovely winery in the Tuscan hills.. We were the only party there which added to the experience.

The welcome was wonderful and we were tasting some excellent wines and olive oil which we have shipped back home.
The food platter was delicious and complimented the wines perfectly

L'azienda è a tenuta familiare. Si respira davvero la passione e anche la fatica di queste persone, che fanno tutto col sorriso. Le padrone di casa straordinarie e anche se l'azienda è (naturalmente) piccola, è molto piacevole il tour della vigna e degli olivi, oltre che la cantina scavata nella roccia.

Abbiamo molto apprezzato tutto ciò che la cantina Lignanello ci ha offerto, dalla splendida vista delle vigne e dell'uliveto circostanti, alla location interna, e specialmente i vini e lo squisito tagliere che li accompagnava. La gentilissima Martina ti trasmette quanta passione ha per il suo lavoro, ed allo stesso tempo ti fa sentire di casa! Un'esperienza meravigliosa che consigliamo a tutti

It’s our first time to join a winery tour and this is definitely where we suggest to start with! Wonderful owner show us around and taught us a lot about the place and knowledge about the wine. Cozy vineyard and winery and the vibe is very comfy! The platers are great with the wines. We are also very enjoying the homemade figs jam! It’s really a bonus of taste!
Hope we could buy some figs jam home next time!
