The Rías Baixas Denomination of Origin is spread across a group of areas in Galicia which have common physical features that identify and produce their wine’s characteristics. They are lowlands, with an altitude generally below 300 m, near the sea and related to the lower stretches of river courses, which determines the climactic characteristics of Atlantic influence - mild temperatures and high and well-distributed precipitation, with a fall in rain in the summer months. The winery belongs to the D.O "Rias Baixas", is located at the southern end from the subarea "Val do Salnés" on the foot of a hillside called "Padriñán", where there are many immemorial small plots which provide the winery. This area has a privileged position over Sanxenxo village and the entrance of Pontevedra estuary,it has an own microclimate, optimal for the grape growing, which added to the geophysical peculiarities of the floor, makes a grape with a great balance between acidity and sugar with an optimum ripening grade. This fact with a doubtless fame on the sector, originated an albariño wine with own personality, which made bigger with the years.
