The polyculture is very important to practice and organic style, where not only one crop abounds The Alberche river is this zones main tributaire, crossing the area south –east.

We are under Mediterranean climate, between humid climate or dry, depend on the vintage. Hot summers and long cold winters are tempered in this area by the mountains. The annual average rainfall is 650 l/m2, mostly fallen during fall and spring months. Due to altitude (650 m. to 850 m.) and orography, San Martin´s area has big differences between day and nights temperatures. Also the hills and the slopes normally are windy so we have less fungus illness (mildiu, oidium) All this ahead are ideal conditions for grape ripening. Our vineyards soils come from direct granitic rock natural disintegration. Mainly are sandy or slime texture. Acid soils (pH 5.5 to 7) with high levels of silice and low levels of organic material. Granit soils provide a high level of natural acidity in the grapes.
