The history of Bodegas Fernando Castro goes back to 1850, when on his property in Santa Cruz de Mudela (Ciudad Real – Spain), the Castro family elaborated white and red wines with grapes from their vineyards. These wines were produced with traditional methods of the area. But it was not until a few years later, when Juan Manuel Castro Corridor began selling the wines. The construction of the railway in 1861 represents an important step forward. In 1895, the wines of Bodegas Bodegas Fernando Castro crossing new frontiers, beginning itself to market in Madrid, famous through "Wine Train". A few years later, our wines began to be exported Philippines, Cuba and Central America, through the Port of Cadiz. The effort and good work has been the engine of the family, making Bodegas Fernando Castro in one of the major exponents of Designation of Origin Valdepeñas.

Bodegas Fernando Castro are a family business that counts on long wine producing tradition. At the moment, two generations work jointly, counting on the inestimable support of great professionals who contribute in the elaboration, raising and commercialization of our wines. In our two productive plants the wines follow their natural cycle, in an exclusively created unique location for them. The darkness of their raising rooms and silence, is the ideal surroundings for the rest and its slow evolution in the oak and the bottle. Our great versatility in winemaking and bottled offers to our excellents clients white wines, rosé and red wines. Along with excellents Crianzas, Reservas and Grandes Reservas.
