Bodegas GRANBAZÁN is one of the gems of the Salnés Valley, in the heart of the Rías Baixas (Galicia). Founded in 1981, it has a beautiful neoclassical building covered with blue tile of strong Indian influence, facing north, protected from the hot rays of light coming from the south and surrounded by old Albariño vineyards. It is undoubtedly one of the first and most beautiful châteaux in Galicia, where noble materials merge with the landscape and the architecture is at the service of the best grapes.

The Tremoedo estate is a reference in the Designation of Origin Rías Baixas; just 3 km from Cambados, it is a dream destination to enjoy the surroundings, get to know the viticulture of the area, and taste the full range of our Granbazán wines. The building is surrounded by 14 hectares of vineyards trained along the traditional “parra” style, which is typical of wet and rainy areas like ours. Vines trained in this way see their leaves and clusters expand horizontally across a high plane parallel to the ground from a height of 1.8m creating a beautiful spectacle of green terrains envolving the blue building.

Our wines at Granbazán are a reflection of our belief in and commitment to quality from vine to bottle. We elaborate under the maxim of less is more to preserve the idiosyncrasy and identity of each vineyard, through sustainable practices that respect not only the intrinsic quality of the fruit, but also the cultural typicality of certain practices in an integral way and consistent with their context and the community.

We strive to capture what we believe is the essence of the Salnés valley, expressed through wines made 100% from the Albariño grape grown on granitic soils, along a North-South aspect, 100 meters above sea level, and within reach of the Atlantic Ocean’s influence. Our grapes are field-sorted, ensuring only the best grapes arrive  to the winery from their short distance outside and protecting the integrity and freshness of the fruit. All of these factors, combined with selecting only the best clones, results in small, concentrated grape berries of unparalleled flavor, nuance, and freshness.

Granbazán offers a range of soulful wines that beam with personality. In their youth, they enchant with a green-flecked pale straw color. Those wines which begin to develop and mature however reveal a sublime sense of equilibrium, whose fresh and vibrant acidity grants them a rewarding and intriguing age-worthiness. All of our wines boast an irresistible, unmistakably saline finish, which makes them perfect for pairing with seafood, rices, pastas, tapas, and more.
