Marqués de Arviza is the second oldest winery in Rioja. It was built in 1874 over ancient galleries from the XVI and XVII th centuries. The main building was closed many years ago and was used to offer refuge to many people that came expressly in harvest time. An important fire destructed the building and that’s why it needed to be restored. The winery purpose is to offer high quality wines using our own grapes that are selected in a sorting table for later on doing the fermentations in concrete vats. The stone galleries have the perfect conditions for ageing our wines in oak barrels.
