We have been small, family-run organic producers (around 40,000 bottles/year) of both grapes and wine for 10 years. Our mission is to be an example of respect for the environment and health and to produce excellent wine at a price that is accessible to all. This last point is based on a principle of solidarity that recognizes the need for superior quality products for everyone and not just for a narrow elite. Our business It is made in a late eighteenth century cellar located in a disadvantaged area of Vignanello which had been abandoned for decades and which has been restored to its former glory with great efforts for the benefit of us and the local community. Having an underground development, our cellar is naturally cold and this allows us not to use energy for cooling the wine vessels for the benefit of the environment and the final price of our wines. All production takes place exclusively in stainless steel and wood in order to generate the maximum possible hygiene and, at the same time, prevent any post-contamination from heavy metals and especially plastic derivatives.
Organic cultivation of High quality. We start from organically grown grapes which are fermented with spontaneous yeasts present on the skin (pruina). In the preparation of our wines, in addition to using minimal quantities of sulfur dioxide (sulphites), all chemical additives and improvers for clarification have been banned such as: casein, albumin, citric acid, sorbate, artificial tannins, copper, and others chemical principles of dubious environmental sustainability and human health. Without additives OF ANIMAL ORIGIN For this reason no additives of animal origin are used. Our caps are steam sanitized (no use of biocides) and guaranteed with zero trichloroanisole (TCA) content. Therefore, do not expect wines that will keep for a long time once opened and white wines that, in the long run, do not form a light residue on the bottom of the bottle. Instead, expect highly digestible wines that you will never regret the next morning. OUR VINEYARDS ORGANIC CULTIVATION Our vineyards are located on land that was in a state of semi-abandonment, are of an advanced age and have been returned to organic, fair-trade and eco-sustainable cultivation. We believe that in the future ours could represent an example for the local agricultural community regarding a different way of cultivating the land. In the vineyard we have decided, at the cost of a great sacrifice in terms of productivity, not to use water so as not to waste this precious resource and preserve it for future generations.
