Cantina e Vini

The journey started fifty years ago… It was 1966. La Cantina was born in Borgonovo, at the centre of Val Tidone and the heart of the Colli Piacentini D.O.C. region. It is still there today. A lot of ground has been covered since then and there is still some way to go. However, no-one intends calling it a day any time soon. The level of enthusiasm is unchanged. It seems like only yesterday when sixteen agriculturalists decided to establish a co-operative they called ‘Cantina Valtidone’. They also coined a motto: ‘Classici attuali’ (current classics), one that has always been something to strive towards. The association has remained true to its origins, even though, over the years, it has grown into a true company from its homespun roots.
