DIEGO GENNA s.a.s

La Cantina

The History of the Diego Genna Winery begins almost a century ago in a particularly well-suited land where the sun shines for 300 days a year: Marsala.

Founded in 1939 by the entrepreneurial spirit of a young man, Diego Genna (born in 1910), who successfully established himself in the wine industry, the winery has grown through generations. Over the years, he passed on his passion for viticulture and winemaking to his sons Michele (born 1939) and Aldo (born 1947). Thanks to their father’s teachings, their meticulous and methodical approach to winemaking, and the exceptional pedoclimatic conditions of the area, they enabled the company to produce wines of outstanding organoleptic quality.
It is precisely this passion for wine that has been the common thread uniting the different generations of the Genna family into a single spirit, right up to the present day.

Today, the company is managed by Diego Genna (born in 1972), who shares the responsibility of running the business with his sister, Sandra Genna.

The winery currently produces and markets table wines, fortified wines, aromatized wines, and Marsala wines. Thanks to the quality of its products, the company is well known both in Italy and in several EU countries.
The wines are sold bottled, in bulk in demijohns or small barrels, and—maintaining an old tradition—in wooden casks of various capacities.

I Vini

Diego Genna Winery produces a diverse range of traditional Sicilian wines, closely linked to the heritage of Marsala and its surrounding territory.

Their production includes:

Table wines – crafted for everyday enjoyment, reflecting the character of the local grapes and the warm, sunny climate of western Sicily.

Fortified wines – structured and expressive, made following time-honored methods that enhance depth, warmth, and longevity.

Aromatized wines – wines enriched with natural aromas, inspired by historic Sicilian and Mediterranean traditions.

Marsala wines – the flagship of the winery, produced in accordance with local tradition and aged in wooden casks to develop complexity, balance, and distinctive oxidative notes.

A key feature of Diego Genna’s wines is their strong organoleptic quality, achieved through careful, methodical winemaking and the exceptional pedoclimatic conditions of Marsala, where long hours of sunshine play a crucial role in grape ripening.

The wines are offered in multiple formats:

Bottles for the international market

Bulk formats such as demijohns and small containers

Wooden barrels, preserving an old tradition still appreciated by local consumers

Thanks to their authenticity, consistency, and respect for tradition, Diego Genna wines are appreciated not only in Italy but also in several European countries.
