Domaine Maurice Gavignet Pére & Fils, in Nuits Saint Georges since 1920, 4 generations later Arnaud Gavignet continues to produce elegant, high quality wines from 10 hectares (24,70 acres) over 21 appellations are produced from Gevrey-Chambertin, north of the Côte de Nuits, to Santenay, south of the Côte de Beaune, and 6 sparkling wines, Crémants de Bourgogne and Champagne extra Brut - Coste-Flocher “Royal Blue”. Each year we receive several rewards from Tastevinage, Guide Hachette, Concours Generale Agricole de Paris, Burgondia, Concours des Grand Vins de France à Macon.

Our vineyards are planted with low-trained vines. The average vine age is around 35 years old and in NUITS SAINT GEORGES, GEVREY CHAMBERTIN and POMMARD some vines are more than 50 years old.

Sustainable viticulture is put into practice throughout the Domain with controlled, natural grassing. Natural techniques and respecting the vegetation are our first priority.

Our wines - We aim for long vatting periods with regular punching of the cap. Good temperature control allows us to obtain expressive and aromatic wines of great finesse with elegant and silky tannins.

After being racked once, the young wines are put into French oak barrels to mature between 15 and 18 months. During this time, racking is carried out periodically, preserving the fine lees which gives all the radiance which is characteristic of great Burgundy wines.

Bottling in our cellars guarantees that our winemaking process is mastered right from the vineyard to the glass. Our obsession with excellence has given rise to an incomparable style giving distinguished, up-standing wines of great finesse. They have very expressive, intense fruit aromas and complexity, they are also elegant and very balanced on the palate. The characteristic of our wines respects the personality of the great Burgundy ‘terroirs’.
