Delcious wine, staff was so friendly (Tom was the best!), and the most beautiful views!! Very relaxing atmosphere and environment especially after a hike in Shenandoah. Live band plays outside while you sit and drink your wine. The cheese ball is delicious (homemade!!), get it with a baguette. A must go-to vineyard!!!

Stopped by the tasting room on a whim. What a pleasant surprise! Tasted 9 of the wines they offer, and found they each had many enjoyable qualities. My favorites and the wines that I took home were the Gibson Hollow White and the Petit Verdot. Magnifique!

We stopped into DuCard Vineyards a few weeks back for the Saint Patrick's Day celebration. I loved the pathway over the creek to the tasting room. Inside the tasting room, the open space, beams and huge fireplace was gorgeous and inviting. Though I tend to like reds, we ended up with a bottle of one of their whites and settled outside to listen to the celtic band. Definitely a hidden gem, can't wait to go back!

They built an exquisite tasting room with several species of local reclaimed hardwoods , on the floor and bar area . They are fairly newer but heading in the right direction. The views of Old Rag Mountain and the vineyard is a very peaceful setting .They sell local cheeses and unique crackers that go great with there wines , especially the reds in my opinion. I will definitely come back soon to see the progress and new variety's .

Cantina e Vini

We have been growing grapes for the past decade at our property, nestled at the eastern edge of the Shenandoah National Park in the shadow of Old Rag Mountain and White Oak Canyon. Our story is best described as a “hobby gone wild,” and you can read a fun and interesting pair of Point-Counterpoint articles that my wife and I wrote recently on how we got started in this endeavor. We initially sold our grapes to a winery up the road, and wines that included our grapes won a number of awards, including the Virginia Governor’s Cup as the best wine in the state and the Best Wine in the East (out of 1,400 entries) in another competition. So we decided to begin bottling a small amount of wine under our own label, exclusively for friends and neighbors and a small but growing email list of “fans and followers.” We are gratified that it was well received and in fact sold out completely in each of the three years we did it.
