Ravines Wine Cellars rests on a hillside overlooking glacier-carved Seneca Lake in the Finger Lakes wine region of New York State. We also have a tasting room on Keuka Lake. Our cool growing season, sloped vineyard sites and the moderating effects of the deep lakes create an ideal condition for producing vibrant, balanced and food friendly wines. We are a small, family-owned winery dedicated to the craft of fine classical wine-making, wines that express the unqiue qualities of the vineyard sites, the growing season, and the winemaker's vision.

Our grapes come primarily from the White Springs Vineyard on the northeast corner of Seneca lake. It is just south of the town of Geneva, part of the historic White Springs Farm, planted in 2000 by Carl Fribolin. This part of Seneca lake is distinct from the rest because it is the end of the Niagara Escarpment Extension and has Honeyoye Loam over limestone soils (calareous) rather than the highly acidic soils that comprise most of the finger lakes. It is one of the few irrigated vineyards in the Finger lakes, using the clear waters of the White Springs as the water source. It is very well protected facing the lake with a good slope.
