The vineyard has a prime location on the Martinborough Terrace. In this favoured location, aged soils over river gravels provide a perfect terroir for Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Summer and autumn are usually dry, with warm days and cool nights; conditions that give grapes lively flavours. Our wine is made only from grapes grown in our vineyard. We are small enough to give personal attention to all steps of viticulture and wine-making - at every step taking options to maximise quality. For example, for optimum ripeness we selectively hand pick our Pinot Noir over several weeks.
