VINOSLOF
Cantina e Vini
Vinos LOF is a family-owned winery located in Valtuille de Abajo, in the Bierzo region of Spain. The project is led by brothers Héctor and Víctor López Folgueral, who revived their grandfather’s old winery in 2013 to begin producing wines under their own label.
The winery focuses on crafting high-quality wines using native grape varieties, particularly Mencía and Godello, through traditional winemaking methods and sustainable viticulture. They operate from a restored family estate equipped with stainless steel tanks and French oak barrels.
Vinos LOF manages around ten hectares of vineyards, mainly planted with old Mencía vines, as well as other local varieties such as Garnacha Bouchet, Palomino, and Doña Blanca. They have also restored old vineyards in Villalibre de la Jurisdicción, where they planted Godello to expand their range of wines.
The winery currently produces five wines:
VI LOF – Oak: 100% Mencía, aged 12 months in French oak, offering a fresh, structured, and varietal expression.
La Fontiña de Nai: From a single plot of century-old vines, aged 12 months in oak, resulting in a powerful and complex wine.
Matalospardos: Made from vines over 80 years old, aged 12 months in French oak and 12 months in bottle, with spicy and berry notes.
La Jurisdicción: 100% Godello, aged 12 months in French oak, with citrus, floral aromas, and balanced acidity.
Angelita de Valtuille: A tribute to their grandmother, this Chardonnay-based white is aged on lees for 12 months, with creamy texture and floral, citrus notes.
