Wine tasting at Villa de Prata

The wine tasting was very good. It started with a short tour and explanation of the vineyards and the building, which also houses a boutique hotel. The guide was very informative and knowledgeable. My husband and I then went to a small tasting room for more explanation of the wines and the vineyard’s honey. The tasting included one type of cheese, bread accompanied by the vineyard’s olive oil and honey. The manager of the vineyard did come in to check on us and answered additional explanations and a sample of a wine not yet released. My only suggestion would be for the vineyard to also offer a wine/food pairing - which perhaps they do and I missed the option. The winery does offer a picnic on the grounds which we did not book. I would recommend this tour.

Thank you for your review and for choosing us. I hope the tasting of the wines included in your experience was beautiful. We have a lunch including wine pairing for the guests of the Villa, but it will be on Winedering from next season 2024.
