Discover the typical Venetian Street Food on this morning walking tour!
The tour starts with the exploration of the historical Rialto market where your guide will present the local cuisine and share interesting facts about vendors' business and their products. After a sample of a seasonal product, you will follow your guide around the brick labyrinth of the San Polo district and step into top-quality wine bars unknown to the mass of tourists.
The first wine bar is an authentic gem of Venice, hidden in an alley. A glass of wine (ombra) can't but go with some freshly made fine bites. Most traditional Venetian cuisine consists of fish and seafood.
The next stop of your walking tour is dedicated to baccalà, the most important fish of the local traditional cuisine. Your guide will select two different varieties of baccalà and serve it in the street with a glass of regional wine. This tour consists of a relaxing food & wine walk with a local guide, relax also means sitting to taste some regional cheese while enjoying people-watching and discussing about food, life, and travel.
Finally, reach the “cave” of our friend Elio where tourists don’t dare to take a step in! The tour ends with a seasonal dessert at the historical Pasticceria Tonolo.
