Are you tired of having the usual Chianti or Sangiovese of Tuscany in your glass? Do you want to go beyond the usual Bolgheri, Brunello, Montepulciano, and other classic Tuscan reds? The "My Name is Orpicchio" tasting is just the thing for you: you can taste Tuscan wine that goes beyond Sangiovese while staying comfortably in downtown Florence, train your senses with unusual scents and aromas, and embrace an unexpected pleasure!

This wine experience includes a vertical tasting of 4 different vintages dedicated to the Trebbiano Toscano biotype named Orpicchio. This grape variety was saved from extinction in the lands of Leonardo da Vinci in Tuscany, in 2010 it barely occupied 1 hectare of the 60,000 vines planted in Tuscany. The 4 wines for tasting will be Orpicchio - Bianco Toscana IGT by Fattoria Dianella - 100% Orpicchio from the 2020, 2019, 2018 and 2016 vintages. They will be paired with a selection of cured meats and cheeses.
