Sustainability has been at the core of Soalheiro, with a key milestone in 2006 when its vineyards became the first in the region to receive organic certification. Since then, various organic Alvarinho profiles have been developed, each expressing unique characteristics. This tasting invites you to explore the diversity of these organic wines while discovering the landscape that shapes them.

The experience begins with a visit to the Herbal Tea Fields, where the region’s history before Alvarinho and the revival of traditional infusions are explored. Next is the first continuous Alvarinho vineyard in Melgaço, followed by a stop at the old family garage where Soalheiro began, and the cellar, where various winemaking processes showcase the influence of terroir. The tour continues through the Sparkling Wine Cellar and Innovation Cellar, where organic winemaking techniques are taken to new heights.

The tasting takes place on the terrace, offering a privileged view over the River Minho Valley, providing a deeper understanding of what makes this territory unique. The tasting begins with Soalheiro Nature, an organic Alvarinho with no added sulfites or filtration, followed by Soalheiro Espumante Bruto Nature, a limited-edition sparkling wine made using the ancestral method from Soalheiro Nature’s base wine. Soalheiro Terramatter brings a historical perspective, blending traditional and modern winemaking techniques, unfiltered and aged in different containers. The final wine, Soalheiro Pé Franco, is a unique expression born from the innovation of an ungrafted Alvarinho vineyard, creating an extraordinary and rare wine.

The experience concludes with a tasting of The Pur Terroir infusions, crafted through an innovative low-temperature dehydration process that preserves a high concentration of essential oils.
