Cantina Petrelli welcomes you for an unmissable and unique picnic among their vineyards and olive trees, to spend some time in total comfort and relaxation, sipping quality wine, eating delicious bites, and breathing fresh country air. What else?
This tasting package will take you among the vineyards of Cantina Petrelli, comfortably and in total privacy. An expert from the winery will tell you about their history and spend a few minutes explaining the wines and the work behind them, to then let you enjoy your picnic in the open air while remaining at your disposal.
In your picnic basket, you will find two bottles of wine of your choice, a jar of peppers in turmeric oil with crispy frisa, vegetable paté, some friselline (crispy local bread), and a bag of mixed puccette (seasoned soft buns). In short, you'll taste the true Salento aperitif.
Keep an eye out for sustainability: you will bring home with you all the products you won't consume during the tasting, so as to avoid waste. That's not all: as a keepsake of the experience, Cantina Petrelli will also take a snapshot of you that you can keep with you. You can decide to spend how much time you'd like relaxing in the vineyards, which will be at your disposal from the opening to the closing time of the winery.

The cost of a taxi ride from Lecce is quite high, so it's possible to take either the train or the bus to get to Carmiano, at a cost of 1€ per ticket.

Well recommended
Fortunately on the actual day it was sunny. Chiara explained about the different wines and assisted us in choosing the wines we preferred. She also allowed us to choose other items for our picnic. We picked a rose, a red wine, a packet of tomato flavoured friselline, a jar of pickled zucchini, and a jar of red pepper pate. We were also given a packet of pucette (2x3 flavours). We only managed to finish the rose and the pucette, but they were delicious. We brought home the rest!
Chiara was very friendly and had laid the picnic mat at a perfect spot to enjoy the view of the vineyard while being shielded from the sun. We had our own private space and it was atmospheric. A perfect way to slow down and enjoy Salento aperitif.
It was a memorable 2 hours for us! With a car from Lecce, the journey was only 15 minutes from the city. But we felt like we were at the countryside, peaceful and scenic.
We wished there could be a brief tour on how the wine is produced or more information about their product (maybe 15 -30 mins) before the picnic.

Romantic picnic experience
The picnic spot was right in the middle of the vineyard and it was truly beautiful. We walked around the grounds and even tasted some of the grapes.
The wine was delicious, and the picnic included a perfect selection of snacks to pair with it.
Highly recommend this experience! Especially as a romantic date for couples.

Un pomeriggio alternativo!
Siamo stati accolti alla Cantina Petrelli, dove abbiamo scelto di trascorrere un pomeriggio di pieno relax facendo un pic-nic nel loro curatissimo giardino.
Ci hanno dato la possibilità di scegliere tra diversi e buoni prodotti locali, accompagnati da vini freschi e tutti da scoprire. Un'idea piacevole per scoprire il mondo del vino, con un'esperienza diversa e più adatta alle famiglie con bambini.

Esperienza fantasista!
Dopo aver scelto la tipologia di vino della loro cantina e il cibo da portare con sé (prodotti tipici) per il momento picnic, ci siamo incamminati verso le vigne dove la proprietaria aveva preparato per noi la postazione con telo ,cuscini e 2 panche.
È stato molto suggestivo e rilassante ,lo consiglio a tutti!
