The yellow muscat road from Venice
Here is what you will live
This special wine day tour from Venice includes a visit to one of the most prestigious wineries in the area that is dedicated to the production of yellow moscato in their various forms.
The Muscat grape usaually is not thought of as one of the great international classics but its history is much longer than some more famous grapes like the Cabernet. Indeed the muscat was almost certainly the grape variety referred to by writers in classical times as being particularly attractive to insects for its heady smell and impressive ripeness.
The Muscat is such an important grape in Veneto region and with this tour you'll get to know all the details of the history of this wine destination and the great muscat grape.
We will visit a cellar, understand the production methods and taste this local specialty.
After the tasting, we will go to lunch at a restaurant to taste the local culinary goodness. At the end of lunch, we will
reach Arquà Petrarca, a beautiful medieval village not far away from the cellar. There we will also have the opportunity to taste the Brodo di Giuggiole, a local specialty, obviously alcoholic.
Satisfied and happy, we will return to Venice.
