Experience Borgo Machiavelli at its finest: visit Machiavelli's museum house with its garden and historic wine cellars, then enjoy a gourmet lunch menu in Tuscany's oldest restaurant, paired with our wines and extra virgin olive oil.

Our Tour & Lunch with Tasting experience begins with a guided tour in the original house museum of Niccolò Machiavelli, with the special opening of his private study where he wrote the famous "The Prince". The tour then continues with a visit to the Italian Garden with a view of Florence Cathedral. Finally, you will descend into the historic cellars from the 13th century and visit the secret underground passage connecting the cellar to the building of the oldest Italian Restaurant named "Albergaccio since 1450"

The experience culminates with a fabulous 2-course Tuscan lunch. You'll start with a delicious selection of local products; Crudo DOP aged 16 months, Salami, Finocchiona, and Bruschetta, followed by Homemade potato tortello with knife-beaten beef ragout. Cantucci and Vin Santo as well as Coffee are also included. The lunch is paired with a tasting of three wines; "Libero" white wine, "Tenuta Machiavelli" Chianti Classico DOCG, and "Libero" Super Tuscan IGT.

Dopo aver fatto un tuffo nel passato, riguardo alla vita del Macchiavelli, raccontata in modo impeccabile e anche divertente dalla nostra accompagnatrice, mentre ci faceva visitare la villa nella sua interezza, raccontandoci aneddoti e particolari della vita vissuta in ogni ambiente. In ultimo le vecchie cantine ed il vecchio passaggio segreto che conduceva direttamente all'osteria. Abbiamo pranzato e degustato ottimi vini in un ambiente particolare e pieno di fascino. Esperienza che consiglio vivamente. Complimenti a tutto lo staff.

Il posto è incantevole, la visita alla casa museo Machiavelli è davvero molto interessante e la degustazione di vini con pranzo gourmet è la ciliegina sulla torta che conclude in bellezza questa esperienza che appaga tutti i sensi.
