Trekking and wine tasting at Vetrere
Here is what you will live
A farm - nowadays more than ever, in the global village - is both a stronghold and an ambassador of its territory. The philosophy of the farm is part of a broader ecosystem made of environment, quality and culture.
Today, the Vetrère company is led by Annamaria and Francesca, the Bruni sisters, who have taken over the farm with dedication and passion. The route is traced by the long history of the company: mixing the value of a centuries-old tradition with the curiosity for all that is innovative, in the name of quality.
Vetrère is immersed in the nature and with this trekking and wine experience, you will start the tour with a 7 miles (12 km) with a difference of 122 meters (400 feet) in order to reach the Sanctuary of the Mutata. Already from the X sec. On the place where the sanctuary now stands, there was a small church, contested between the inhabitants of Grottaglie and those of Martina Franca, in which a fresco image of the Madonna was kept on the wall facing south in the direction of Martina Franca and therefore belonged to him according to his countrymen. On Pentecost Monday of 1359 was the Madonna herself to resolve the matter, the painted image was found on the north wall facing Grottaglie; Since then she has become patroness of the town. For the miraculous "change" it was called S. Maria mutata (changed). But even more truthful is the hypothesis that the name "Mutata" from "mutation" indicated a place to stop the mounts and rest, this is perhaps confirmed by the neighboring Masseria next to the shrine.
